Cloudscape’s “Comics in Transit” keeps on rolling! We’ve been getting a lot of attention, including more buzz in the Georgia Straight and an extensive article in UBC’s student magazine, the Ubyssey. For the last few years, Top Cow has run a Talent Hunt as an opportunity for unpublished artists and writers to potentially showcase their stuff in a mainstream comic. Top Cow will choose 2 winning writers, 2 winning artists, and 2 runner-ups in each category. The winners will be paid to have their stories appear their own one-shot comic while the runner-ups will get paid to create backup stories.
Stop by Cloudscape HQ on September 26 (12:00-4:00 PM) to learn how to make a mini-comic from start to finish. We’re going to show everyone how to write a comic short story, draw the pages, scan the art, print the book, and staple it all together.
