Cloudscape Comics is a proud participant in numerous comic and art-related events all over the city, including various conventions and the long-running Vancouver Comic Jam, which is held the third Saturday of every month at the Wallflower Modern Diner on Main Street. We put on numerous events ourselves at Cloudscape HQ in South Memorial Park (click here for a map). These events include:
Weekly Meetings: We meet every Wednesday at 7:30pm to discuss comic-related events as well as work on our own projects and receive feedback from fellow artists. Everyone is welcome!
Life Drawing: On the second Sunday of each month, from 1-4 PM, we invite everyone over for a life drawing session where artists sketch a local model in various poses. Cost is $10 per person.
Cloudshops: Cloudscape members occasionally hosts free to attend workshops and lessons covering various comic making topics. Keep an eye on the calendar for any upcoming events.
Open Studio: For people who want more time at Cloudscape HQ, we also have open studio sessions where the place is open to anyone who wants to stop by and chat, write, draw, or otherwise get involved in local comics. Check the calendar for particular times.
