Creative Ink Festival for Writers, Readers, and Artists

The Creative Ink Festival is a three-day festival on May 6-8, 2016, dedicated to the creation of stories and art in numerous forms. It will feature both panels and single-person presentations giving writers and artists numerous tools to develop their craft, as well as analyzing the medium from a wide variety of directions.


Student Looking to Commission Comic Pages for Short Film

Call for Submissions: Gwan Comic Anthology

Forward Comics has announced a call for submissions for a comics anthology centered on the theme of foreign lands, the immigrant experience, and cultural fusion. This collection will include stories expressing both the joys and challenges of immigrant/expat experience, and is open to all genres, including science fiction, fantasy, slice of life drama, and autobiography.

Douglas Park Community Centre Looking for an Artist

The Douglas Park Community Centre is looking for an artist to help with a community mural project. The building has four large panels that are currently looking dated, and would need to be repainted. The artist should be someone who has experience/wants to work with community to come up with a collaborative design process.
