Comics in Transit: Post Pandemic Hopes

The fourth iteration of Cloudscape’s Comics in Transit project is LIVE! This year we’ve teamed up with the folks at Heritage Vancouver and a team of local artists and storytellers to bring you seven new comics on the theme of “Post Pandemic Hopes.” Like the previous versions of Comics in Transit, each comic is the size of a bus shelter ad. Unlike the previous versions, however, we’ve been able to display all seven around Granville Island until November 7th. They will be displayed in bus shelters around the city at a later date.

Seven cartoonists from British Columbia were paired with seven storytellers to bring us these records of the pandemic. If there’s one thing we’ve learned during the time of COVID-19, it’s that no two people have experienced the pandemic in the same way. We hope that readers will see a bit of themselves in these stories, and discover the different ways their neighbours have persevered during this unprecedented time.

We have created a special page on our website that showcases all things Comics in Transit. There, you can find more information about the creators involved in this project, book recommendations, and a walking map for the display on Granville Island. Check it out!
