Call for Submissions for Non-Imperialist SF Anthology

ENOUGH SPACE FOR EVERYONE ELSE is an upcoming science fiction anthology looking for comics, prose, and illustrations. The theme is non-imperialist science fiction, which means:

“No expanding, maintaining, defending, fighting, or being part of an empire…. Space must be featured as an essential element, something without which the story cannot function. All subgenres and tones are acceptable but submissions should be created with an all-ages readership in mind.”

Maximum length for a comic submission is 15 pages (with 10 or under preferred), illustrations should be a single page (or a two-page spread), and prose should be 5 pages or less (no more than 2000 words). Even if you don’t have an artist lined-up for your comic, you can submit the script to them and they’ll see about connecting you with an artist.

The anthology pays:

  • $50 USD per page for comics pages
  • 6 US cents per word for prose
  • $75 for single-page illustrations
  • $150 for double-page illustrations

Deadline for all submissions is May 4th. For more information, visit the Enough Space for Everyone Else submission guidelines.
