The second Cloudscape comic book anthology features short stories from fifteen BC comic artists. History is full of weird and wonderful stories: revolutionaries in the Middle Ages, hopeless romantics in the Age of Reason, renegade monks in ancient China, tragic heroes in the Cold War. For the stories in this collection, some members drew from their own family histories while others invoked past events that strike a chord with the modern world and with themselves. Sift through their findings and see what treasures these cartoonists have unearthed.
Published in 2008, this book features stories from Steve LeCouilliard, Jonathon Dalton, Angela Melick, Shamurokku, Severine Leibundgut, Jeff Ellis, Toren Atkinson, Catilin Russell, Jack Hume, Colin Upton, Alex A, Scott Ritchings, Jody Kramer, Christopher Leinonen, and Kevin Forbes.
Historyonics won a Stumptown Comics Fest Award for best book design in 2009. Good job, Scott, Jeff, and Caitlin!
Among the stories featured are What Did You Do During the Cold War, Daddy? by underground comic legend Colin Upton, The Adventures of Donald Mann by Jeff Ellis, Yellow Scarves by Jonathon Dalton, and a story from Steve LeCouilliard’s popular webcomic Much the Millar’s Son.
